July 28, 2010

This morning I had a Senior session with a young man named John…it was great fun. He’s a really good kid who’s always up for anything, laughs a lot and seems to have fun in everything he does! The morning was full of laughs, great poses and hopefully images that project his personality and great nature! Here’s a few shots from the session, he really is a awesome guy and I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them!

Senior Season…

July 28, 2010

July has been a relatively busy month for Senior sessions…as well all know getting “Senior Pictures” done is one of the highlights of being top of the food chain in high school LOL :) At the beginning of the month I had a session with the handsome Adam…he’s a great kid and was super great to work with. Just like any boy however getting his pictures done wasnt at the top of his priority list, but was on his Mom’s as that’s the way it goes :) It was a great morning session and I think we got quite a few great shots…here’s a few from Adam’s session!

Hideaway…

May 10, 2010

In our backyard sits a wooden train, it sits alone sometimes in it’s solem exsistence, but most of the time this train has company. Children of all ages climb and jump on it, crawl through it and ring it’s bell. It’s part of many adventures in the imaginary world of my children’s minds! My boys love the train and are frequent visitors to it’s home in the yard and while the boys and the train are usually off on one of the many trips they take, sometimes it become a still and quiet place for them. A place to just hide away, think, daydream…a place to just be and enjoy the quiet times of being a child.

Family Ties…

May 8, 2010

It’s definitely been one long week for me…unexpected happenings and personal issues seemed to get in the way of things I needed to get done. Not that I’m saying I minded, because that’s all part of life, love and the daily grind. So, after having a crazy week, it was nice to get away yesterday evening to do a family session. My daughter has long been after me to take family pictures for her and I just now have had the time to get to it. Off we went as the sun was heading to bed in the golden light of the end of the day. It was great fun shooting these pictures and who doesnt like pictures shot in the “golden hour”. Here’s a few from the session and the love, laughter and happiness we all shared during our short time together :)

Front Yard Funnies…

April 27, 2010

This afternoon my oldest Daughter came over to visit and brought with her my sweet Grandson August! He’s such a character and so funny at times it’s really a treat to just watch him. He was in a great mood today so what did his Nana do??? She took him outside in the front yard for some camera time!

This little boy loves the camera, and I guess rightly so considering he’s been in front of one most of his life. If it isnt me with a camera zeroed in on him, it’s his Mom. He was so funny to watch in the grass, he was so amazed by it. I think his favorite discovery today however were the stray leaves left in the yard from our last mowing, to say he was captivated by them would probably be an understatement.

Here’s a few shots from our adventure in the front yard today…I look at these pictures and can do nothing but smile…he is such a sweet little man, and a wonderful subject to capture!

Sunday’s Backyard Play…

April 27, 2010

It had been so long since I’ve taken pictures of my boys, so with camera in hand out the door we went to the backyard. My boys are always so energetic and free spirited, it’s really hard not to want to take a picture of everything they do! Yesterday was pretty warm with the threat of a thunderstorm off and on, but the sun was still shinning through the clouds down on their sweet faces.

I have found more and more these days that I would rather spend time with my children more than any other thing in the world. I love my life and those within it. Blessed is not a big enough word to express the feelings I have within my heart for these people I call my family. Watching them was so much fun, shooting pictures of their play was and is a honor to me. I’m just thankful I can capture these precious and timeless moments within my camera and most of all my heart!
